Nissan’s commitment to a global outreach in general—and to the country of Brazil in specific—continued recently with the official opening of a new Nissan Design Studio at Nissan Brazil’s headquarters. The new studio, called the Nissan Design America Rio studio, will immediately begin contributing to development projects, with a focus especially on the areas of materials and styling for future Nissan products.
Taro Ueda, Vice President of Nissan Design America (NDA), celebrated the design studio’s opening as a bright light for both Nissan and the country of Brazil. “Brazil has been one of Nissan’s key markets for years and can offer new inspiration for the design of our products for Brazil as well as globally. Soon, you may see some results of the work done by this team in collaboration with other design centers around the world,” Ueda said. “Rio has a wonderful combination of vibrancy and diversity that represents the Brazilian culture and people, with each region being unique in its own way. This is an ideal location to establish a design studio.”
As is true with everything Nissan does, the Nissan Design America Rio studio will be home to the best and smartest people in the design industry, ensuring that the brand will deliver nothing less than the best, smartest, most stylish vehicles on the road for many years to come.
