The season finale of the 2014 European Le Mans Series ended with multiple victories for Nissan at the 4 Hours of Estoril, as the Nissan-powered Sebastian Loeb Racing team won the LM P2 race and the Nissan-powered Signatech Alpine team won the LM P2 championship.
The series proved to be one of the most competitive in recent history, with five different winners from five races this year. The season finale also served as a proving ground for 2013 GT Academy Europe winner Miguel Faisca, who followed in the footsteps of Lucas Ordonez, Janna Mardenborough, and Mark Shulzhitskiy by making his LM P2 debut at the event.
“That was amazing,” Miguel said after turning in an impressive double stint. “I did over 50 laps and I must say it felt great. I was out during the middle part of the race when a lot of the top drivers were on track and I was able to hold position and put in some good lap times. I am very happy with my debut.”
As we congratulate the European Le Mas winners, be sure to stay tuned to 171 Nissan for more Nissan racing news!
