Among the vehicles in the Nissan lineup, one of the most popular is the Nissan Rogue. The Rogue has continued to appeal to drivers looking for economic crossovers, one of the largest growing segments in the automotive industry. However, Nissan is never one to rest on the laurels, always looking for new ways to improve—and they have some pretty impressive improvements coming to the Nissan Rogue.

A press release recently published by Nissan outlines all of the improvements coming to the 2017 Nissan Rogue. Among those improvements are additions to the Nissan Rogue’s safety systems. As a part of the Nissan Safety Shield Technologies, the 2017 Nissan Rogue will see the addition of systems like Forward Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Detection.

However, perhaps the most exciting change coming to the Nissan Rogue is the addition of the Nissan Rogue Hybrid to the vehicle lineup. This new model can achieve a fuel economy of 35 mpg on the highway!

“There are so many enhancements to Rogue for 2017, with every one of them designed to enhance its appeal with the fastest growing segment of buyers in the industry,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc.

Nissan Lucasfilm Partnership to Promote “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”

Nissan RogueNissan was thrilled to announce earlier this month that it has teamed up with Lucasfilm to promote the newest Star Wars movie.

Lucasfilm is releasing the first ever standalone Star Wars film this winter on December 16. Called “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” the production company plans for it to be the first in a series of standalone films, beginning a new era for the franchise and for Lucasfilm.

“Rogue One” is the story of a group of people tasked with the mission of stopping the Empire from building a new Death Star by stealing the plans from their ship. None of them Force users, the group must use their wits and other skills to accomplish the task, showing that it’s possible for normal people to do extraordinary things.

To promote the film, Lucasfilm has brought together five major brands: Nissan, General Mills, Verizon, Gilette, and Duracell. Lucasfilm expressed that these five brands will develop campaigns that will “match the tempo and tone of the overall marketing campaign” for “Rogue One.” Each brand will develop a unique campaign, and ultimately the five will be linked together for the overall campaign.

Nissan hasn’t announced any specific plans for the campaign, though some have speculated it will use the Nissan Rogue. We also don’t know if the Nissan Lucasfilm partnership will continue for future standalone Star Wars films.

12 Best Family Cars Include Rogue, Altima, and Pathfinder

Best Family Cars

This week, Kelley Blue Book (KBB) released its 12 Best Family Cars of 2014, a list of the 12 cars that, after extensive research, KBB felt were most suited to families on the road. In an exhilarating victory, Nissan claimed a quarter of the top spots. The Rogue, Altima, and Pathfinder all made the final cut.

To select the top 12, Kelley Blue Book editors decided on 21 top contenders, based on vehicles that had earned top ranks in the website’s Expert Ratings in several different family-friendly categories. Some of these categories included room for child seats, cargo space, comfort, safety, rear-seat entertainment, and driving performance.

After the editors had narrowed down the options to the top 21, they turned to actual families for feedback; thus, the winners have been tried and tested not just by editors but by the people who truly use them for family needs.

“Each of these vehicles was designed to fit the needs of a wide range of customers and situations, while also being family-friendly,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations. “From Pathfinder’s more conventional family profile to Rogue’s wealth of amenities and clever cargo solutions to Altima’s ideal fusion of sportiness and practicality, the mainstream appeal of these vehicles’ designs has been borne out in robust sales numbers and third-party accolades such as these most recent awards from KBB.com.”
